Keke Palmer's loved ones have given her a sweet song to sing about.
On Tuesday (Feb. 20), the "Nope" star took to social media with a clip of her performing a classic song that put us in our feels, as reported by PEOPLE. Now we know Palmer can sing, but in the video, sis is sangin'.
The two-time Emmy winner gave fans a front-row seat as she belted notes to Natalie Cole's 1975 hit song "Inseparable." She also explained the connection her parents share with it.
"My mom sang this to my dad at their wedding! I wasn’t there, but all growing up as a party trick, he would put my mom on the spot to sing “their” song," she explained. "It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized she didn’t write the song! That’s how well she would sing it!"
Cole’s iconic song has become a generational masterpiece with an impactful message that resonates with audiences worldwide. That’s why Palmer introduced her soon-to-be one-year-old son, Leo, to the song.
"Randomly while playing with Leodis in the living room, I just started singing it to him. I guess that’s what real love makes you feel!!"
Palmer welcomed her first son, Leodis "Leo" Andrellton, on Feb. 25, 2023, with her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson.
