TLC's Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas will soon become a grandmother! Her son, Tron Austin, announced this week that he and his wife are expecting a daughter.
"WE ARE PREGNANT!!," Tron wrote in the caption, "FINALLY WE CAN OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE OUR DAUGHTER LUNA WANG AUSTIN will be here in March 2024! To my wife I am so proud of you witnessing you going through so much just to get our beautiful baby here I am in awe of your efforts and I am blessed and honored by Jesus himself to begin this journey with you I love you so much you are going to be the best mother EVER ! We came a long way 5 years later we are married and expecting our first child. loyalty goes a long way."
The couple shared that their pregnancy journey was challenged with his wife, Jeong Ah Wang, undergoing numerous surgeries, including two HSG procedures, a hysteroscopy, removal of both tubes and scar tissue from hernia and appendicitis surgeries, an egg retrieval, and a pregnancy loss.
He added that Jeong "still stayed strong through the whole thing! #IVF has tested us and blessed us through a year and a half journey. We will be the best parents for our little one and we just cannot wait for her to be here." He also added, "P.S HAPPY 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BABY I hope you enjoy the diaper bag hehe."
Tron also included a photo of gifts to his wife in the Instagram announcement alongside an ultrasound video. Per PEOPLE, he shared a still image from the ultrasound and a message to his future daughter in his Instagram Story.
"God's miracles are beautiful 14 weeks down 2nd trimester let's go, baby," he wrote. "As your father, I will protect you with all my will. I'll be a man of my word and I will do everything in my power to provide [and] contribute to the best life for you and your mother, my beautiful wife @3ASTASIAN."
Tron is Chilli's son with music producer Dallas Austin. He is also a music artist and recently played drums behind TLC.
In an interview last year for the Paramount+ series Family Legacy, he talked about life with his famous parents.
"It's a very hard job and you can't be there all the time, even when you have kids, you have to keep going in this direction. As an aspiring father, I think of how I want to do similar with my kids," he said at the time.
"I want to make sure I'm there as much as possible, but that they also understand that daddy needs to do what daddy needs to do, and it doesn't change the love between us."
