Despite a wardrobe malfunction that has grabbed most of the headlines, Nicki Minaj gave New York fans a special moment for life when she performed on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series today (August 5). Live in Central Park, she serenaded fans with two of her biggest hits, “Moment 4 Life” and “Super Bass.”

Die-hard fans made Central Park their temporary beds as they waited long hours just to see the Queens native perform. And from the looks of their non-stop tweets, there’s no doubt that her audience was more than satisfied.

“Waiting 8 hours to see @NICKIMINAJ was totally worth it!! Can’t wait to meet her later!! Team Minajjj babyyyy love you nicki <3!!” one enthusiastic fan tweeted.

“ @NICKIMINAJ your oufit firstly, then the hair, the dancing, the voice, the energy, the throne OMFG u slayed baby gurl!!!!!!” another fan beamed.”

After the cameras stopped rolling, Minaj did a special performance of “Roman’s Revenge” a capella and took some time to connect with her supporters. Soon after, she shared her experience at Central Park on Twitter:

“LIFE. U guys just gave me LIFE. I love u Team Minaj! Words could never do this love justice! Thank u @Gma!!!!! Honored. YMCMB,” she wrote.

Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series kicked off in May with pop star Lady Gaga, and other mega stars such as Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson have also headlined the concert series.

Continuing with their all-star lineup, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige is set to perform on September 2. Her performance—and all others—are free and open to the public.
