TMZ Sports's footage of Team USA playing a little beach volleyball in Rio could help explain why the squad hasn't been dominating its competition during these Olympic Games thus far.

USA defeated Australia by 10 points, while eking out three-point victories over Serbia and France, respectively.

Not exactly the domination we all expect with a team loaded with talent, including Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Paul George, DeAndre Jordan and Klay Thompson to name a few.

The more USA Basketball does off the court, the closer its games seem to get. So, are they having too much fun in Rio?

And before that, Thompson and Jimmy Butler were playing some football.

And of course there's all the touristy sightseeing ...

Is it all too much and not enough concentration on basketball?

Well, in defense of the squad, the medal rounds haven't started yet, so perhaps Team USA has been taking it easy right now, waiting to turn up in the most major way yet.
