Chris Brown Denied Visa to Attend Michael Jackson Tribute Concert
Chris Brown just can’t get a break. While his ex Rihanna tears up London with her rumoured new man, Brown was denied an entry visa to the United Kingdom, where he was scheduled to perform at the Michael Jackson tribute concert this weekend. The rapper, whose career has clearly been heavily influenced by the late King of Pop, was meant to join Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Leona Lewis — among many others — on the glove-shaped stage.
According to Britain’s The Mirror, it was suggested Brown perform as a hologram from the U.S. but a source said “it would put a negative slant on the day. The family wants to make sure the show is a fitting tribute to Michael.”
Pop supergroup the Black Eyed Peas also had to pull out of the concert at the last minute due to “unavoidable circumstances” that didn’t have anything to do with visa troubles.
