WTH? See How The Internet Is Dragging This Makeup Artist After She Posted a 'Hurricane Irma'-Inspired Look
The internet never ceases to amaze us. Which is why we’re shocked — but, frankly, not surprised — that makeup artist Kali Harlow decided to use Hurricane Irma as inspiration for their latest makeup look.
Guys, we can’t make these things up…
Unless you have been living under a rock, the devastation that Hurricane Irma has caused across the U.S. and Caribbean islands is heartbreaking. According to weather.com, at least 68 people have died, and there are billions of dollars in damage.
And to top it off, Kali tweeted back at followers that she didn’t anticipate the negative feedback, tweeting back the below. Ummm, girl what?
Here’s a tip, when people have lost their lives, homes, loved ones, etc., it’s probably not a great idea to create a beauty tutorial about it. In fact, it’s beyond insensitive. Don't play victim when there are actual victims trying to piece together their lives.
Apparently, the pressure of the internet forced Kali to “apologize." She later tweeted the below shortly after everyone (and their mothers) came for her.
In summary, the aftermath of a hurricane is always painful — and the internet will drag anyone who tries to make light of it.
