This Activist Flying Through the Air to Take Down a Confederate Flag Is a Reminder That 'Not All Heroes Wear Capes'
The action took place during a protest of Bree Newsome.
On Wednesday night, Charleston activist Bree Newsome delivered a lecture at the College of Charleston. However, members of a Confederate flag support group, the South Carolina Secessionist Party, gathered outside the hall where she spoke while waving Confederate flags.
During the protests, one Black Lives Matter leader was recorded hopping a barricade and removing a Confederate flag
Newsome, who was the lecturer at C of C, became a household name after she scaled the flagpole at the South Carolina State House to remove the confederate flag
Newsome's actions came after Dylan Roof shot and killed nine Black parishioners at the Emanuel AME Church.
The South Carolina Secessionist Party planned a protest against Newsome and her actions

Police detained and arrested the activist, who they identified as Muhiyidin Moye
Showing Up for Racial Justice Charleston, a South Carolina social justice group, put up $2,000 for his bail, the Post and Courier reported.
Moye's move has made many people on Twitter call him the 'flying black activist'
