2022 NAACP Image Awards: 5 Funny Moments From Tiffany Haddish
It’s never a dull moment with award-winning actress Tiffany Haddish. Since her breakout star-making role in the 2017 comedy Girls Trip, the California native has kept the jokes coming. That same year she made history by becoming the first Black woman stand-up comic to host Saturday Night Live in its 43 seasons. Her other accolades include a BET Award for “Best Actress” and a Grammy Award for "Best Comedy Album".
At the 53rd NAACP Image Awards, Haddish has been nominated for “Entertainer of the Year,” one of several prestigious awards given to entertainers for their outstanding performance in Hollywood. Haddish is up against Lil Nas X, Regina King, Jennifer Hudson, and Megan the Stallion. Before we learn who takes home the win, here are the five funniest moments from Haddish.
Tiffany teaches Kevin Hart healthy living
During a hilarious episode of Kevin Hart’s YouTube series What the Fit, the comedian pairs up with Haddish to learn more about healthy living. However, things quickly go left after the Night School co-stars end up at the doctor’s office for a very unexpected ultrasound visit, thanks to Haddish’s two-for-one tickets.
Tiffany explains the origin behind ‘Black Unicorn’
While on a press run for her book The Last Black Unicorn, the Girls Trip star stopped by the Good Morning America to discuss the new project. During the segment, Haddish shared the meaning by the book’s title, revealing that she was bullied for a wart she had on her forehead in school, explaining that kids would call her a dirty unicorn. Although she was hurt by the name, the actress said she learned how to turn bullying into comedic relief and took ownership over the moniker. She later went on to thank her bullies for making her rich.
Tiffany gives a history lesson
Fans didn’t know they needed Haddish’s appearance on Drunk History, but it was well-received. The actress gave her drunk interpretation of the story of Rose Valland, an art historian who helped recover Jewish artwork from the Nazis. As she narrated the story, a cast of performers acted out every word. Even when she was fully intoxicated, she still managed to stay on topic with great detail.

Tiffany hilariously tackles 90th Oscar nominations
Despite having a rough time pronouncing several of the entertainer’s names during the 90th Oscar nomination reveal, the comedian made what could’ve been an embarrassing moment a hilarious one. At one point, audience members applauded the star after each difficult task.
Tiffany meets Oprah
The Night School actress managed to keep audience members laughing after being surprised with a visit by talk-show legend Oprah during an appearance on Ellen.
