Jamie Foxx And Ludacris Are The Only Black Actors Among The All-White Nominees For This Awards Show
The 39th annual Razzie Awards are in swing and the nominations have been announced.
The awards highlight the worst films of 2018 and the people involved in their production. This year's nominees for “worst picture,” in contrast to the Oscars' “best picture,” include Gotti, The Happytime Murders, Robin Hood, Winchester, however, if you’ll notice, very few Black people were involved in these films.
The only two Razzie Award nominees who happen to be Black are Jamie Foxx and Ludacris. Both were nominated for “worst supporting actor,” Luda, for his voice over in Snow Dogs, and Foxx for Robin Hood.
Hey, at least as long as Hollywood is excluding African Americans from winning film honors hardware, they keep them out of the negative awards too.
The 2019 Razzie Awards nominations were announced Sunday (January 20) via the Razzies Awards YouTube channel. The 39th annual Razzie Awards will take place February 23, the night before the 91st Academy Awards.
