LeBron James Set to Join NBA All-Stars in Exhibition Game
The NBA lockout–barnstorming exhibition tour is set to make its next stop in Baltimore, MD on Tuesday, and this one will feature at least four NBA All-Stars.
Miami Heat star LeBron James confirmed that he will join players Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony in the game.
“I’m in,” James told the Associated Press on Sunday.
These games have become a big hit with NBA-starved fans who are fearing the 2011–12 season could be lost due to the nearly two–month–old lockout. This game should be the biggest so far, with Durant and Anthony returning to their own "backyards" to play. Durant is from the Washington, D.C.–area, while Anthony is from Baltimore.
Durant has made an appearance in a few of these games across the country, playing in New York and Los Angeles. James, Paul and Anthony are expected to be on the same team, opposing Durant on Tuesday.
According to the Associated Press report, proceeds from the game will go to charities supported by Anthony.
