Ray J Pleads Not Guilty to Groping Woman at Bar
New Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member Ray J pleaded not guilty to groping a woman at a Beverly Hills hotel bar and resisting arrest on Tuesday (Aug. 19).
Los Angeles prosecutors state that the reality star entered the plea to misdemeanor charges of sexual battery, vandalism, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, according to The Associated Press.
Though he has jumped over this hurdle, he is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 28.
Ray J — whose real name is William Ray Norwood — was arrested on May 30 after a woman reported that he grabbed her buttocks at a bar at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
According to police, the "I Hit It First" singer refused to leave upon their arrival and became unruly, using his feet to shatter a patrol car window after being taken into custody.
