Tina Campbell Is Taking A Hard Hit After Supporting Donald Trump
Since Mary Mary member and gospel singer Tina Campbell revealed her vote for former reality television star Donald Trump, disappointment has washed over her devout fan base.
But, despite Tina’s adamant defense and explanation for her political decision, fans literally aren’t buying it.
Though it isn’t directly mentioned in her statement, it seems that she has postponed her It’s Still Personal Tour in light of the recent controversy due to failing ticket sales. Tina posted the memo to her social media accounts with the hope that she will continue legging through the tour in 2018.
“We are grateful for those who were planning to attend but our overall ticket sales haven’t show that we have the support that we need to continue the tour at this time,” she wrote. “We’re convinced that many more would love the opportunity to attend this praise filled, faith filled, entertaining, worship experience, so we have decided to give ourselves time to reach all of those people and bring this amazing tour back in the spring of 2018.”
Tina recently defended her lean toward Trump on The Root, where she said that, despite her vote, she doesn’t agree with the decisions he’s made in the White House thus far. However, her Christian beliefs ultimately backed her reason to pick Trump over his former Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Unfortunately, it seems that isn't reason enough for fans to continue their support of her in the meantime.
