Hip hop star Nicki Minaj called police to her lavish Dallas, Texas hotel last night (July 12) after she was allegedly “struck” in the lip by an unidentified man.

According to TMZ.com, authorities said Minaj told them she was involved in a heated argument poolside at the Palomar Hotel. As the verbal altercation escalated the man headed to Minaj’s room where they were both staying. The rapper then ordered hotel staff to call the police as she made her way to the room.

When officers arrived at Minaj’s room, she told them her attacker hit her in the lower lip before leaving the scene. An incident report was taken, but Minaj refused to press charges against the man.

The “Super Bass” rapper told police she was not involved in a relationship with the man who hit her.
