Crips Member Connected To Tupac's Murder Receives 10 Years In Prison

He previously pleaded guilty to two felony drug charges in 2013.

Darnell Brim, Crips gang member and one of the individuals associated with Tupac's murder, has just been sentenced to federal prison on hefty drug charges.

Earlier TMZ reported that the South Side Compton Crips gang member was officially sentenced after the Agents for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discovered he’d been peddling crack cocaine. Back in 2013, Brim pleaded guilty to distribution of crack and conspiracy to distribute the narcotic after being busted during a sting operation.

  • Prior to making headlines for narcotic news, Brim was widely known for his connection in the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur. According to LAPD records and transcripts detailing Pac’s fateful night in Las Vegas, Brim was allegedly one of four men in the white Cadillac that was "used by the suspect(s) who shot Tupac Shakur” in the drive-by shooting. The gunmen also shot at former Death Row Records boss and Pac’s mentor, Suge Knight, who was in the driver’s seat of the BMW Pac was in. However, only the late West Coast icon sustained fatal injuries.

  • Although Brim was never charged in the unsolved case of Pac's death, two days after his murder, Brim was hit in a drive-by shooting in Compton, which law enforcement believe was carried out in an act of vengeance for Pac’s death.
