The Shade was Real After Cam Newton Left His Super Bowl Press Conference Early
If you weren’t tired of hearing criticism of Cam Newton’s actions before Super Bowl 50 then you’re in luck because his post game performance left room for critics to once again mock his behavior.
The Carolina Panthers Quarterback prematurely left his postgame press conference after looking visually upset about the results of the biggest game of his career up until this point. While only answering a few questions, his smug behavior was the target of criticism especially after celebrating so much on the field this season when things were going well.
“Wow. What a press conference from Cam Newton,” actor Rob Lowe tweeted. “So gracious! So classy! So humble! What an example to kids! Just like Peyton. #dab #SuperBowl” That certainly wasn’t all. While many offered smarmy shade, others had analysis that was a little more insightful.
“Someone said this about Cam recently: He is the world's best winner and the world's worst loser,” tweeted Joe Person, a beat writer for the Charlotte Observer. “Tonight showed that again.”
