Things are heating up behind the scenes of Empire. Co-stars Trai Byers and Grace Gealey are a real-life couple off-camera, reports Us Weekly. The actors have been dating since first meeting on the hit series.

"They started seeing each other during the shooting of the show. There was an instant attraction, people working on the show are aware about it," an insider says. "When they all hang out together they'll cuddle and give a kiss, but it's nothing obscene."

"They are having a great time together," the insider says of Byers, 31, and Gealey, 30.
The lovers will return for a second season of Empire. After attracting more than 16 million viewers for the season one finale, the show was renewed for a second season.
Looks like Byers and Gealey will spend their hiatus together. "Trai and Grace are super serious," another source spills. "They started dating in the middle of the season and are completely in love."
