‘Basketball Wives’ Star Royce Reed Turns Herself In To Police Over Child Neglect Charges

She shares son Braylon, 14, with NBA player Dwight Howard.

Basketball Wives star Royce Reed has reportedly turned herself into police in Orange County, Florida and been charged with neglect of a child – a third-degree felony.

According to documents obtained by Radar Online, the case is about her 14-year-old son Braylon, whom she shares with NBA player Dwight Howard.

The documents state Braylon is currently working through issues with professionals over past incidents. One of the rules set by a judge is him not being allowed to hang out with kids two years younger than him without an adult present. That was reportedly violated, and Reed is being blamed.

During an interview with police about their investigation, Braylon was asked when was the last time he saw Howard, to which he replied was “when he was in town for a basketball game, which was a while ago,” more specifically “sometime during the 2020 quarantine” prior to an argument.

Reed has yet to publicly respond to the criminal charges.

This is just the latest development in Reed and Howard’s public parenting of Braylon.

In 2014, Reed reportedly went to child services in Orlando, Florida to complain about how Howard had physically abused their son with a belt, leaving bruises on his leg.

At the time, Howard confessed he did whip his son, but said he didn’t believe there was anything wrong with it since that’s how he was disciplined. The case was dropped and Howard was never changed for a crime.
