Is This Evidence of a New Eminem Album?
Detroit’s exalted rap veteran Eminem has been quietly teasing his fans of a return by way of a Drake tour and an album assist with fellow D-town native Big Sean.
But according to departed Shady Records emcee Status Quo, who plans to patch things up with his former label boss, there’s an unnamed, undated album (for now) upon us from Slim Shady.
Guess who’s back?
According to HipHopDX, Status Quo revealed that a project was under construction while elaborating on his split from Shady Records.
“Denaun called me yesterday [when] him and Em were working on the album and he was telling me, and I haven’t really been in the room with [Eminem, since leaving Shady Records], that sh*t that happens is still what they say when they mention me,” he reportedly said during a #DXLive segment. “So we gonna work that out. When he comes out here [to LA], I’m pulling up [and] I’m going over there with him and Dre… and we gon’ figure that out.”
Further explaining that his parting ways with Em came after conflicting matters regarding a song that blocked the release of his album.
Now that he’s reportedly ironing out some of the kinks with Em and his former hip-hop team soon, we’re hoping that a full return from the OG Shady Records squad will follow.
