Kid From Kid 'n Play Hit With Arrest Warrant for DUI

A missed court date could land '90s rap star, Kid, in jail.

Former rap star Kid from the old school hip hop duo Kid 'n Play is up to his old tricks again — much to the dismay of the L.A. County Superior Court. The 40-year-old rapper/actor, who was popular in the late '80s and early '90s, just had a warrant issued for his arrest thanks to neglecting a DUI hearing.
TMZ obtained the documents, which show that Kid, born Chris Reid, was supposed to attend a hearing for a DUI arrest in 2010. Previously, he flaked on another hearing for another DUI arrest, which also resulted in a warrant.

Kid’s recent legal troubles are a far departure from the days he enjoyed success as a clean-cut, radio-friendly hip hop figure. As one half of the jovial duo Kid ‘n Play, the flat top-wearing MC rose to prominence with party anthems like “Rollin’ With Kid ‘n Play” and “Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody.” The Queens-bred group was also one of the first rap acts to find success in Hollywood, starring in the cult classic film, House Party, in 1990.
Now he runs the risk of being arrested by police if stopped for any reason.

Some kids never learn.
