Did F. Gary Gray Lie Under Oath Because Of Suge Knight?

More court drama for the former mogul.

Back in August, Suge Knight was indicted for allegedly sending death threats to F. Gary Gray via text message. The hearings that resulted in the indictment hasn’t been made public — until now.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes accused the Straight Outta Compton director of lying under oath. Gary claimed he didn’t remember the threatening text messages from Knight. Barnes argued it was impossible to forget someone threatening to kill you. She told the grand jury on Friday, “He’s so afraid he came in here and lied under oath. He’s perjuring himself because he’s that afraid.” Yep, she’s arguing that Gary is so terrified of Suge Knight that he is conveniently forgetting the text messages.
Allegedly, one of the text messages read: “I will see u in person … u have kids just like me so let’s play hardball.” Suge was reportedly pissed about the way he was portrayed in Straight Outta Compton.

Knight claims he is innocent and said the messages were sent from a phone that wasn’t his.  Suge is also facing a homicide charge for killing Terry Carter and severely injuring Cle “Bone” Sloan on the set of Straight Outta Compton with his truck in January of 2015. Suge is claiming self-defense.

F. Gary Gray has yet to respond to the reports that he lied under oath.
