Nicki Minaj is very good at incorporating current events into her rhymes, but now she’s wishing a recent song of hers would’ve been even more current.

Taking to Twitter, the rap queen tried out alternative lyrics for her song “Don’t Hurt Me,” produced by DJ Mustard and featuring Jeremih, that would have included the incident where LeBron James got his groin tapped by Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

“I'm mad I missed out on dude slapping bron in the nuts. Would've made for a great line but #DontHurtMe was done over a month ago,” she tweeted of the incident, which got Green suspended for Game 5. “Pull up in that black murc wit da brown guts. My s**t slappin like dude on lebron nuts. that's my 1st try at it. Ima have a few.”

The series of tweets had fans joining in with their own rendition. Along with her reflection, Nicki Minaj also had a few questions about her already recorded lyrics. She asked her followers and Genius’s Rob Markman whether her “added my rings up dats Mike Jordan” line made since. It does, but if she really wanted to go for the rings argument, she should’ve chosen Bill Russell, who won 11 rings.
