The Golden State Warriors (68-7) are dominating their competition so thoroughly this season that they could afford to spend some time plotting out a well-planned prank.

That's exactly what the defending NBA champions did, collaborating with Lyft to pull off an epic April Fool's Day prank on backup center Festus Ezeli.

The prank had Ezeli sitting in a rigged Lyft car, which blasts a faux sports radio report saying that the center will be released by the team right before the start of the playoffs. Adding to Ezeli's shock is all his teammates start simultaneously texting him that they heard the bad news.

The Warriors' 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala, who was covertly following Ezeli in a Lyft vehicle behind him, even calls the worried center, vowing to get to the bottom of the situation.

"My teammates are texting me saying, 'Pleasure working with you,'" Ezeli tells the Lyft driver, who was in on the prank as well. "What does that mean? Looks like I'll be getting a job over here with Lyft."

Aw man! This is cooold-bloooded. Ezeli was really taking the bait, too.

Before giving Ezeli any more grief, Iguodala comes clean, presenting the center with balloons and a cake, while exclaiming, "April Fool's!"

Hilarious!
