There's no denying that Cardi B. is having an explosive summer. Since the release of "Bodak Yellow," the 'regular degular girl' from the Bronx has accumulated a wave of followers, fans, and others alike. But, with her rising popularity comes criticism — and the rapper isn't shy when it comes to addressing the latter.

On Wednesday (July 26), Cardi took to her Instagram to check critics that have disregarded her work ethic over the past year, namely those who feel she's "f*cked her way to the top." While Cardi has been transparent about her time as a stripper, it's not to be misunderstood that she doesn't take her music career very seriously.  

"Do y'all know how I got put on?" Cardi asked into the camera. "I got put on doing videos and people following me." Take a look at the full video below:

"Did I f*ck my followers?" Cardi continues in the minute long clip. "Did I f*ck Mona Scott Young to be on Love & Hip-Hop?"  

Back in 2014, the then 21-year-old dancer became an internet sensation with her penchant for quotable one-liners and hilarious ramblings on camera to thousands of Instagram users. Since then, however, Cardi has gone on to use her large social media following as a springboard to pursue her passion for music and ink a major record deal. Add to that, her short-lived stint on VH1's Love & Hip-Hop and it's clear that Cardi is well aware of her prowess as an influencer.

For a woman to glow up in the same faction as Cardi B. has over the past few years, it's time we put some respect on her name.
