Machine Gun Kelly has been rather mum when it comes to his former relationship with Amber Rose. Now, he’s confirming that he was seeing her for a time, and also doing much more.

Sitting down with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, the Cleveland rapper insinuates he slept with Rose but had a conversation with her former husband and father of her child, Wiz Khalifa , before anything got serious.

“I called Wiz,” he said. “I operate as a man so I always like to face things head-on and be a man about stuff so everything was very natural and not malicious at all and this was one of those things where the universe was kind of telling you one thing so you don’t know whether to listen or not.

“I don’t feel like someone you have respect for should deserve to hear it from like tabloids or TMZ or anything like that stuff,” he continued later in the interview. "In hindsight maybe it’s not the right thing to do. It was always the right thing to make the call.”

MGK apparently met Amber while filming a movie and from there it progressed. He did mention though that their dating relationship is over, which was largely due to increased media attention that festered once they were spotted together.

“Everyone knew I wasn’t feeling the whole limelight that was coming with that,” he said. “It was one of those things that was cool when no one knew and then when everybody knew, it was just like I’m going back into my little turtle shell.”

Also during the interview MGK detailed his problems with alcohol, being blackballed by numerous broadcast and print publications, and his musical growth. He released his latest album, General Admission, on October 16.
