Quincy Jones Doing ‘Fine’ After Being Hospitalized in L.A.
Quincy Jones is doing “fine” after being hospitalized for chest pains in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon. An ambulance was called to the 82-year-old old producer’s Bel Air, Calif., home at 1:20 p.m., TMZ reports.
He was taken to the hospital out of precaution, publicist Arnold Robinson confirmed in a statement. "Quincy had some shortness of breath and in an abundance of caution he went in for observation,” said Robinson.
It’s unclear if Jones has been released.
The producing legend who has worked with late music greats like Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra has had health issues in the past. Jones survived two brain aneurysms in the early ‘70s, and in 2012 he was dismissed from testifying in a slander case due to heart problems.
