R. Kelly’s Chicago Recording Studio Received A Police Visit, And Here’s What They Found...
Police are hot on R. Kelly’s tail these days in the aftermath of Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly exposé doc-series, and the attempts to zero in on the disgraced Chicago crooner are becomimg more and more frequent.
After a now open investigation by Georgia law officials into R. Kelly’s crimes as exposed in the documentary, law enforcement from his Chicago home turf have also urged other victims to step forward. Those who have already are handing over alleged surefire evidence to nail Kelly to the wall as well, which could aid in the aforementioned criminal investigation launched by the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.
It’s now safe to say that police have Kelly in their cross-hairs, and after crashing his 52nd birthday party at a Chi-Town nightclub on Thursday (January 10), a previous report suggests they’ve been keeping a close eye on Kelly for some time while he’s been lying low in his hometown.
According to TMZ, police headed to his Chicago recording studio, which was highlighted in the documentary for a rather eerie reason…
As seen in Surviving R. Kelly, the venue is the reported location of his sex cult, where he’s said to have held some of his victims captive. If you’ll recall, it’s the same spot where the parents of Azriel Clary arrived to chuck rocks at in an attempt to get their daughter to come outside. Chicago PD checked it out for themselves, TMZ reports, but found the place to be empty on Tuesday evening (January 8) when they arrived. Though officers weren’t responding to any specific calls, they figured it might be worth paying a visit upon the revelations presented in the Lifetime docu-series.
TMZ adds that there was an alleged birthday party that went down at the location on Tuesday night too, though
But cops weren’t aware of such, TMZ’s sources allegedly shared. They’ll reportedly continue to patrol the area for now. But in the meantime, state’s attorney Kim Foxx is continuing to urge witnesses and all other victims to call (773) 674-6492 for tips and information to aid in their pursuit of Kelly.
