Jennifer Hudson Discusses New Movies, Music And Memoir

J-Hud shops it up on GMA; then gets sick and heads to hospital

Looking svelte, the singer wore a flirty white blouse and black tulle mini skirt. Tipping out in red sky-high pumps, Hudson seems to be quietly strategizing different ways to take over the entertainment industry as she has her hands in a trifecta of markets, including movies, music and books.

 

Sitting down with GMA's anchor Robin Roberts in front of a huge crowd in Central Park, J-Hud discusses her upcoming memoir saying, “I wanna help inspire others…and it’s my way of cleaning the bottle of the things that inspire me and help me get through.” On the big screen, she’s set to play South Africa's most famous wife, Winnie Mandela in the biopic Winnie, she will begin filming for The Three Stoogies at the end of this month and is working on an Alicia Keys produced film in which she will play a mother addicted to drugs. Keys also produced a track on Hudson's latest CD.

 

With all of this going on, J-Hud was as bubbly and smiley as ever. That didn't last long, however, as after her performedhowever, the multi-talented star became severely ill by food poisoning and was taken to a hospital, according to CNN.com. The good news is she was treated and released and is said to be feeling better.
