Wyatt Cenac to Host and Produce New Sketch TV Series
A good warning to all fans of writer and comedian Wyatt Cenac: be prepared to see a whole lot more of him on the small screen in the near future.
Indiewire.com is reporting that The Daily Show regular is developing a sketch narrative comedy show for Comedy Central that will spoof a 1980s public affairs program. While there is no official word on when the show will premiere on the network or who else will star in it, critics expect the upcoming series to have the same brand of Black nerd comedy that has made Cenac a breakout success. He reportedly has a deal to host, write and produce the still untitled sketch comedy program.
Presently on television Cenac also appears as Lenny on the animated action adventure series Fanboy and Chum Chum. And in 2008, he starred on the big screen in the film Medicine for Melacholy.
