It's Official: Get Ready to See Idris Elba in Star Trek Beyond
It looks like Star Trek fans are in for a huge treat as Idris Elba is now officially a part of the cast of the 13th installment, Star Trek Beyond. The Brit shared the news in a cheeky promo video with the cast.
During the clip, which was posted to YouTube, previously confirmed cast members Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho are seen telling fans how they could win a walk-on role in the film. Suddenly, out pops Elba, who breaks out into a dance.
"Idris, glad you could join us," Pine said, to which the Luther actor responded, 'S'up, Chris?" So smooth.
Though it hasn't been revealed just yet what role he will play, chances are he would be cast as a villain in the highly anticipated sequel.
Meanwhile, Tyga is expanding his acting career to include a role in an untitled action comedy starring Bruce Willis and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa. While details about the rapper's role are being kept under wraps, the story involves a Los Angeles police detective whose personal and professional worlds collide when some gangsters steal his dog. Tyga had a small role in the Sundance hit Dope, which came out last month, and he will soon star in Barbershop 3.
