Kanye West Charged with Criminal Battery in Pap Attack

If convicted the rapper faces a maximum of 1 year in jail.

Kanye West may face jail time over a paparazzi attack, TMZ reports. The Yeezus rapper was charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft for allegedly attacking a shutterbug outside of LAX airport on July 19.
The photographer, who took himself to the hospital after the altercation, hired power attorney Gloria Allred to represent him against the hip hop superstar. Allred told the court her client was badly injured as a result of Yeezy's rage.
West, of course, has repeatedly warned photographers not to speak to him, even going so far as to tell them, "don't talk to anyone. Ever." Now, he may face up to one year in jail for losing his temper.
Kanye's court date is on October 10.
