You Won't Get An Album from André 3000, But You Will Get This
André 3000 previously revealed that he was ready to hang up the towel on his long and outstanding rap career. But that doesn’t mean we won’t be getting anything creative from the ATL icon. In fact, 3 Stacks is reportedly deep-diving into the acting world, and his next role is in the upcoming science-fiction film High Life, Variety reports.
High Life reportedly centers around a band of prisoners who are coerced into embarking on a dangerous mission into space in exchange for a reduced sentence. It is unclear which character André has been cast as, but he will reportedly joinTwilight’s Robert Pattinson on screen.
The casting comes briefly after 3000 stated that he was “totally fine” with never doing another OutKast album again. In his absence from music however, he has kept busy with a number of projects. André recently designed some shoes for Tretorn and served as the brand’s ambassador.
As far as Hollywood goes, this isn’t his first time on a movie. André has previously starred in a number of blockbusters, including, Four Brothers, alongside Tyrese and Mark Wahlberg, and Idlewild with fellow OutKast member, Big Boi.
High Life does not appear to have a premiere date at this time.
