T.I. Made an Observation About Donald Trump and #BlackLivesMatter
The Atlanta rapper, who is obviously a supporter of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, was leaving LAX airport on Monday (July 25) when he was approached by a TMZ cameraman. The cameraman then asked Tip whether he believed the GOP presidential nominee cared about Black lives.
"Is that a trick question?" T.I. asked the cameraman. "Absolutely not. I don’t believe any lives matter to him except the ones that look, act and operate like his."
As he made his way to his car another man approached him and said, "[Donald Trump] wants to make America great again. I’m saying to myself, 'When was America great?'" This then prompted Tip to explained why he has an issue with Trump’s slogan, reiterating that he believes America was never truly “great” for everybody.
"Whatever time it is, you either had slavery, women couldn’t vote, Black people weren’t considered an entire citizen, segregation, crack epidemic, which was funded and initiated by the Contra scandal,” he said. “All of these times in America were some s**t times for us. So whatever he’s trying to get back to is some s**t we need to get far away from."
This is not the first time T.I. has displayed public hatred for Donald Trump. Back in March, he exclaimed in an Instagram post, “F**k you and f**k what you stand for. Nobody who supports me will support you. End of message.”
