Look: Broadway Dancer Makes Shocking Admission to Killing His Boyfriend

A fatal fight ended the life of Bernardo Almonte.

Dancer Marcus Bellamy (pictured above, left), who worked the Broadway musicals Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark and Tarzan has been charged with the murder of his boyfriend, 27-year-old Bernardo Almonte (pictured above, right).

A law official has said that Bellamy and Almonte had fought in a Morris Heights apartment in New York. During the fight, Bellamy strangled his boyfriend and bit both of Almonte’s shoulders. When Almonte was later found in the apartment, he was bleeding from a blow to the head.

Investigators believe that immediately after killing Almonte, Bellamy posted a confession to Facebook.

“Forgive me,” Bellamy wrote. “I did it for love. I did it because I love you. He told me love and hate are the same emotion.”

In another post he wrote, “I am God, I give life and can take it away.”

After posting on Facebook, Bellamy went to a neighbor and confessed to killing the Almonte, an IT technician. The neighbor then immediately phoned the police, who later arrested Bellamy. Before police arrived, a neighborhood witnessed Bellamy standing outside with his arms stretched wide.

“The way he was standing outside, he looked like he was praying,” said witness Lisa Turner.

Bellamy has an arrest record that dates back to 2007, although none include violent charges. His arraignment is still pending.
