It was a legendary Thursday night for LeBron James.

Part of his Cleveland Cavaliers' 108-89 thrashing of the Toronto Raptors in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals had King James passing Shaquille O'Neal for fourth all-time on the NBA's postseason scoring list. He now only trails Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan on the league's all-time playoff scoring list.

But when LeBron walked off the court and into the tunnel of Cleveland's Q Arena, little did he know that one of those hoops legends would be waiting for him — Hall of Famer Abdul-Jabbar.

Look how humbled, touched and taken aback LeBron is over Abdul-Jabbar's presence as they met and embraced.

And the moment must have touched Kareem, too, as he tweeted the video of their meeting from his own personal Twitter account afterward.

It was a dope moment between two of the game's greatest players ever. LeBron's teammate J.R. Smith and his son got to meet Kareem as well.

Afterwards, LeBron commented about further being in the company of greatness — by both passing Shaq on the postseason scoring list and having Abdul-Jabbar wait in the tunnel to greet him.

"To be in this position today where I see my name linked to a lot of the greats that play this game and paved the way for myself, [Cavs' teammates] Kyrie [Irving] and Kevin [Love], it means a lot," James told ESPN. "It is very humbling. It is an opportunity for my family and fans to be proud. Just a lot of respect with that."

And about what the encounter with Abdul-Jabbar meant to him?

"Obviously I saw a legend outside of our locker room and I slowed my pace up drastically [while running off the court]," James said, as reported by ESPN. "Just to embrace a legend being in our building, watching us play. What he did for the game, the championship runs that he had with the Showtime [Los Angeles] Lakers, him being the all-time-leading scorer in NBA history and so on and so on and so on.

"It's just respect," he continued. "When you see a guy like that and you put him in a class with like Jim Brown and Muhammad Ali and Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell, it was a pretty cool moment."

Definitely so.
