Astroworld Death Toll Rises To Nine After Texas A&M Student Dies
Another person has died due to the tragedy at Travis Scott’s Astroworld concert event.
According to Reuters, a 22-year-old Texas A&M University student succumbed to her injuries on November 10. Her name is Bharti Shahani and she reportedly passed away after five days in the ICU.
James Lassiter, a lawyer for the Shahani family, said on Thursday, Nov. 11, "We want to make sure that the people who decided to put profits over the safety of the lives of children are held responsible.”

The death toll is now nine. Many more were injured during Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival on Nov. 5. The crowd of over 50,000 people pushed toward the stage, leaving many unable to breathe or move.
A 9-year-old named Ezra Blount, who was on his father’s shoulders watching Scott’s performance and fell during the stampede, is still fighting for his life at Texas Children’s Hospital. He suffered many injuries, including brain swelling and lung, kidney, and liver damage.
Attorney Ben Crump is representing the Blount family.
Scott has over 35 lawsuits currently filed against him in connection with the tragedy.
