Here's What Saved Bill Cosby From Prison
New details have emerged regarding the verdict reached in the Bill Cosby sexual assault trial and, according to one juror's account, the comedian was almost convicted on two counts of sexual assault by a vote of 10 - 2.
According to TMZ, one juror spoke to ABC News following the verdict and revealed that 10 of the jurors believed Cosby "digitally penetrated" Andrea Constand without her consent. The juror also went on to add that they also believed that he drugged her.
The vote was 11 - 1 in favor of acquittal on the third count, which stated that Constant was unconscious and unaware of what was taking place.
While, based on this information, it seems as a guilty verdict was to follow, the juror said that when they all went into the deliberation room and took a straw vote, they "overwhelmingly voted to find Cosby not guilty." It still remains a mystery as to what prompted the sudden shift. The juror even mentioned that it got "super heated" in the deliberation room, which was so cramped that they could not even pace.
As a result of the adamancy of the two jurors who found Cosby not guilty, a mistrial was declared.
