Snoop Dogg: I Feel Sorry for Suge Knight

Uncle Snoop talks making peace with ex-Death Row leader, and why he would never "kick a man when he's down."

Snoop Dogg has matured so far past his beef with Suge Knight that he feels sorry for his onetime Death Row Records boss. Knight’s murder case came up during Snoop’s interview on DJ Whoo Kid’s The Whoolywood Shuffle radio show this weekend and he talked peace, rather than bashing him.

“We got on a great page before this nonsense started happening,” explained Snoop. ‘Cuz I play the role of being the big man, I don’t kick a man when he’s down and I always look forward to building a good relationship with somebody who I had a relationship with.”

The 43-year-old former Death Row artists feels indebted to Knight for helping him beat his own murder charge in the '90s. “I never hated him, he never really hated me,” he continued. “How could you hate me when I made you a $100 million? How could I hate you when you helped me build a team to beat my murder case? That’s why I’ve always had an open heart for him…people don’t understand, he was my friend before he became my enemy.”

Knight has, unfortunately, made so many enemies in the music industry over the years that his support list seems to be running light, perhaps when he needs it the most. The 50-year-old has been locked up since January, and no one has stepped up to help him post his $10 million bail.
