The latest season of Netflix' “Love Is Blind” gave us two couples who made it to the altar, but only one of those couples wed. The only representation of Black love on the show, Clay and AD, broke our viewing hearts by not going through with their nuptials. AD was ready and had said, “I do!” But when it was time for her groom to accept mutually, Clay gave a short speech instead that boiled down to him not being ready for marriage. Now AD fans call for the beautiful unwed star to be the next “Bachelorette.”

The premise of the “Love Is Blind” reality dating show is to end up married to the person the contestant connects with the most while dating blind in “pods.” During that experiment, Clay fell for AD, but in his life outside of the show, Clay admitted to being superficial and loving certain attributes of his potential partner. He wanted to know what AD looked like, and being devoted to the experiment, she refused to share her traits.

After making it through the challenges of loving blindly, Clay asked AD to be his wife. And when they met, they were pleased by each other’s physical appearance. Their courtship was smooth; if you don’t count the many times Clay’s thought processes left AD wondering, like when he thought cheating would be hereditary because his father did that to his mother. AD continued down her path with Clay, falling in love with Clay’s mother, attempting to mesh her life with his and when they made it to the altar, AD was overwhelmed with emotions, ready to be Clay’s wife.

As one of the classiest members of the “Love Is Blind” cast, AD became a fan favorite. She offered sage advice, often attempted to paint a clear picture of fellow cast mates’ messy drama and showed Clay what love could look like if he surrendered. It’s no wonder fans are outraged by the glowing beauty being let down at the altar and want her on another love-based show to find her a partner. Everyone wants to see AD love and be loved. Although rumor has it that since Clay said no to marriage, the two are still allegedly dating.
