It's Official: Raven-Symoné Is a Permanent Co-Host on The View
Raven-Symoné has a pretty sweet new gig: an official co-host on The View.
After guest-hosting on the popular daytime talk show, the former Disney star has been confirmed as a permanent fixture on the all-female panel just this morning, reports ABC News.
"The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of The View family will be a wonderful growing experience for me," she said in a statement. "The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. I want to thank ABC, ABC News and The Disney Company for believing in me and my potential! Let's have some fun!"
Raven, 29, has brought major attention to the show since her initial stint as a guest. From bad-mouthing the BeyHive to sharing her disapproval of Harriet Tubman being the face of the $20 bill, the actress has become notorious for unapologetically speaking her mind.
"Raven-Symoné is a welcome addition to The View," said Barbara Walters, the show's creator and executive producer. "She is happy, amusing and well informed, and has already brought a unique perspective to the program that has resonated with our audience."
She will sit alongside co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez on the morning show.
Congratulations on your new job, Raven!
