Watch How Hyped LeBron James and J.R. Smith Got for the Indians During the World Series

Too bad for them the Cubs won.

LeBron James is a noted New York Yankees fan, but when it came to the World Series he had to represent for The Land.

Months removed from leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to an NBA championship victory — snapping the city's 52-year drought without a major sports title — King James was on hand at Progressive Field to cheer on the Cleveland Indians during their Game 7 World Series clash against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night.

And when Indians center fielder Rajai Davis crushed a home run to left field to knot the game at 6-6 in the bottom of the eighth inning, LeBron turned all the way up!

Indians fans could thank James's Cavs teammate J.R. Smith for that considering the shooting guard took off his shirt during the seventh-inning stretch to rally the home team.

Despite the Cavs' support, the Indians would fall to the Cubs 8-7 in 10 innings to lose the World Series in heartbreaking fashion. Ironically, the Indians coughed up a 3-1 series lead in comparison to the Cavs, who rallied from a 1-3 deficit to defeat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals this past June.

King James still saluted the home team for their incredible effort.

Hey, The Land will always have the Cavs' victory to cherish.
