Here's How Much Keyshia Cole Reportedly Asked for to Be on 'Love & Hip Hop'

The singer wanted top billing.

News broke recently that Keyshia Cole was set to join the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, but it seems as if the singer may have had a change of heart, and money could be part of the reason.

According to theJasmineBRAND.com, the singer explained that, though the platform would be helpful to promote her music, she wouldn't want to be a part of the drama.

"Mona [Scott Young] reached out to me a few times and reached out to Remy [Ma] and reached out to my management and was just asking if I would be willing to do it," she said. "And I was just like, I think it's a great platform for artists, you know, if you do it right. I wouldn't want to be in like all the crazy stuff."

When it came to the money, she says they were negotiating what it would take for her to join the cast.

"We shot some numbers around and I told her what it would take for me to be on the show and she said she would go back and try to get with them because it was like a number that obviously [was high]," she said.

When asked if the figure she was offered was $1 million, she said, "It was a little more than that."

However, it seems as that wasn't enough to get her on board as she said she ultimately decided to turn it down.

"You know what, after all that stuff got thrown out there, I just didn't like the energy of it all," she said. "So I just said, 'Nah, I'm cool. I'm alright."
