That One Time Lil Wayne Dropped His Mic and Left a Performance 50 Minutes Early
Lil Wayne is for promoting the legalization of medical marijuana, but not for too long.
He took the stage Saturday (July 23) at the Medical Cannabis Concentrates Cup in what was supposed to be a set lasting 50 minutes. He performed four songs, two of which included his verses from French Montana's "Pop That" and Gucci Mane's "We Be Steady Mobbin.' "
Apparently he had had enough and after only 10 minutes of rocking the crowd yelled out, "Don't you ever call me to do this s**t again,” XXL reports. “Don't you, ever, ever, ever, ask me to do this s**t again," dropped the mic and left. It’s unclear as to why Wayne abruptly ended his set. High Times, the organization that put on the show, released a statement in reaction to what happened.
"We have no idea why, after a stellar performance by B.o.B, Lil Wayne suddenly ended his performance after just four songs when he was contractually committed to performing for an hour for the fans. We are truly baffled by why Lil Wayne would do this in front of thousands of Cannabis Cup attendees – in total disregard for his fans – and are awaiting an explanation from his team."
WTF? No reaction from Lil Wayne or his team has yet surfaced, and we’re guessing never will. Check out video of Weezy dropping the mic and peacing out below.
