Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin Join the Tour De Francis
Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin and more are scheduled to perform at a series of events in honor of Pope Francis's visit to the U.S. next week.
The 78-year-old leader of Catholic Church will begin a tour of the U.S. on Sept. 22, complete with a few concerts and a large Mass taking place at Madison Square Garden.
The Archdiocese of New York announced the high profile concert will take place on Sept. 25 and will include performers Harry Connick Jr., Norm Lewis and Martin Sheen alongside Hudson. Tickets will be distributed through archdiocese parishes with heightened security on the day of the actual event.
Franklin, however, will be one of the main attractions for the Pope's visit to Philadelphia on Sept. 26. Also scheduled to make an appearance will be actor Mark Wahlberg and comedian Jim Gaffigan.
