Kendrick Lamar Breaks Spotify Record With New Album
Kendrick Lamar's sophomore album, To Pimp a Butterfly, was released on Sunday night, shocking many of the rapper's fans. To show just how eager they were for new music from K Dot, the album set a new Spotify record after just one day on the Internet.
According to Complex, the highly praised LP was streamed 9.6 million times on Spotify yesterday. The previous mark for the feat was Drake, who set the bar with his most recent release, If You're Reading This It's Too Late.
Lamar's latest offering is currently available across all digital retail platforms, including iTunes and Amazon. Physical copies of To Pimp a Butterfly will hit shelves later this week.
