Report: Hip Hop Producer AraabMuzik Survives Second Brush With Death
As reported by the New York Daily News, 26-year-old producer AraabMuzik was shot last night (Feb. 25) in Harlem. The musician, who has worked with the likes of Cam'Ron, Azealia Banks and Fabolous, was wounded during an attempted robbery outside of a parking garage.
Reports share that AraabMuzik, born Abraham Orellana, was exiting the parking garage with a friend when two men approached the driver’s side and fired once Orellana rolled his window down. It was reported that police recovered three .380 caliber shell casings at the scene, with suspects appearing to have fled on foot following the incident.
"He was out in his neighborhood with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time," Orellana's rep said in a statement. "He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime."
Orellana is currently recovering at Harlem Hospital, where has has undergone surgery after getting shot in the jaw, right arm and being grazed in the head. The producer, who was shot for the first time back in 2013 during another incident dubbed as an attempted robbery, is expected to make a full recovery.
