Chance The Rapper Is A Hero For Taking A Stand Against Scalpers
Chance The Rapper is one admirable musician.
The Chicago rapper recently found out that a significantly high number of tickets for his sold out Magnificent Coloring Day festival were not purchased by his fans, but by scalpers looking to make a quick, easy buck.
He decided to step in and take things into his own hands, buying back roughy 2,000 tickets.
Chance took to Twitter to share his disgust with the industry, saying, “It's become apparent to me that many people have targeted my cheap tickets to #MCD and used me and my fans as a way to make money from music."
He then promised his fans that he would figure out a solution, and as it turns out, he’s a man of his word.
“I took back almost 2K #MCD tix from f**kboy scalpers and made them into physicals,” the rapper shared, promising to put the tickets back in his fans’ hands directly. “And these are just floor seats.”
Absolutely incredible, Chance. Your fans thank you and more rappers should follow your lead.
Chance The Rapper's Magnificant Coloring Day is slated for September 24th in Chi-town, with Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, John Legend and more, scheduled to perform.
