Kayla Nicole recently sat down with Angel Reese on the latest episode of the WNBA player’s new "Unapologetically Angel" show, where they touched on her career, swirling rumors, and her high-profile relationship with ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce. 

Nicole, who was with the Kansas City Chiefs star for five years, took the opportunity to address the speculation that Kelce’s so-called “cheap” behavior played a role in their 2022 breakup.

“No, this is the question,” Kayla Nicole said, cutting off Reese mid-conversation. “Do I look like I would go 50/50 on bills?” Reese responded, “No,” and Nicole doubled down, “Okay, so yeah, that was ridiculous. But He addressed that too, though… I don’t even know why that even became a thing.” The YouTuber continued, “Yeah, that was never an issue in our relationship, but it was definitely a rumor on the internet.”

Kelce is now famously dating Taylor Swift, a romance that sparked after he attended her "Eras Tour" performance at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City back in July 2023. Elsewhere during the interview, the Chicago Sky star asked Nicole about Kelce’s relationship with Swift and whether the harassment from the pop star’s fanbase bothers her. "I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos didn't impact me -- it does. Even to this day," Nicole said.

She continued, "You can go to my most recent [social media] post and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I'll never be a talented person and I have no career." 

Reese then asked Nicole why she thought Swift's fans seemed to have it out for her, especially since she navigated the breakup with such grace. "I don't know," Nicole replied. "I think that there's something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people, and it's unfortunate because I've never done anything to warrant that kind of backlash."

Nicole made it clear she’ll remain professional when talking about her ex and his team and won’t shy away from mentioning Kelce’s name — calling him the best tight end in the NFL. She also shared that they've crossed paths since their split but know better than to engage in conversation. "I'll hit him with a head nod. That's about it," she added. "We've seen each other in public spaces but I think that we're both aware of the nature of his new situation that there's just no room to communicate or acknowledge each other publicly without it being spun into something crazy."
