A Former Obama Advisor Said Trump Isn't Racist, and John Legend Lost It

The musician's had enough.

While Donald Trump winning the 2016 Presidential Election has many at a loss for words, John Legend has plenty to say.

The singer has been extremely vocal about the current political climate throughout the duration of the campaign, and likely will never stop utilizing his platform to continue the conversation, especially when it comes to fighting racism.

Today (Nov. 12) one Twitter user rubbed Legend the wrong way when he made a comment that Trump is not a racist man. Naturally, Legend couldn't let this one slide without addressing the severity of the claim that Trump isn't racist.

The Twitter user mentioned that they saw Legend's appearance on Bill Maher, where he stopped by to discuss the events that have unfolded in the past week.

"He's scary, divisive, and hateful," user @OracleOfFreedom wrote, of Legend. "Keep your eyes on this guy. He's dangerous #maga"

One more time - this is John Legend we're talking about here. The musician promptly responded saying, "Keep an eye on me guys!" obviously not taking the user's comments to heart.

"Trump's election has emboldened the white supremacist movement," Legend later tweeted, in response to a tweet from Jamil Smith commenting on the fact that Black freshmen students at the University of Pennsylvania were receiving racial threats. "This is what you voted for, America. Sending my love to my Penn-folk."

Another Twitter user responded to Legend's tweets saying that "whites are the majority of the population" and that "we didn't have a problem with gays Muslims or blacks until #BLM"

Take a look at the full exchanges in the tweets below.
