"Dyn-O-Mite!" or nah? A movie based on the hit '70s sitcom Good Times is in the works, with Black-ish creator Kenya Barris penning the script. Deadline.com confirmed the news, which has many groaning and some reaching for their bucket hats and bell bottoms. 
Good Times centered around a Black family living in a poor neighborhood in Chicago. Esther Rolle and Jimmie Walker lead the cast in the groundbreaking series.

Barris has his hands full with projects. He is also writing the screenplay for Barbershop 3 and White Boy Problems for Ice Cube, as well as continuing to run the show at Black-ish. Barris's resume includes creating America’s Next Top Model, and writing for shows like Girlfriends, The Game and Are We There Yet?

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the dramatic spectrum, Beasts of No Nation star Dwight Henry has joined Oscar nominee Barkhad Abdi for the indie film The Wolf Who Cried Boy. The Detroit-set story is described as "anti-coming-of-age," and centers on a young man who gets swept into the seedy underbelly of the scrapping industry.
