Despite the end of the four-month lockout on Monday, it’s unlikely the Philadelphia Eagles are breathing a sigh of relief.  With training camp slated to begin on Wednesday, wide receiver DeSean Jackson’s future with the team remains uncertain, ESPN reported.

Jackson signed with the Eagles as a second-round draft choice in 2008 out of California and leads the NFL in yards per catch and punt return yards. Now entering the final year of his four-year deal, quarterback Michael Vick says it’s now a game of sit and wait.

"I spoke to DeSean yesterday, and we're trying to figure out what's going to happen," Vick told ESPN on Tuesday. "Just being realistic about the situation—it's all in what DeSean wants. We're rooting for him, and hopefully he'll be here, and I think he will."

There’s been no word from Jackson’s camp regarding whether or not he will show up for training camp on Wednesday.

Also hanging in the balance is Vick’s fate with the team. The Eagles have until September 20 to sign him to a long-term deal.  Vick said he would “obviously” like for that to happen, but he said his focus is going to be on the field.  

"I think everything happens when it's supposed to. I put that totally in the hands of God and this organization to make that happen,” Vick said. “My main priority right now is to be the best football player I can be, and let that carry over to the game and let things happen when it's supposed to."
